What is NOLUG?
NOLUG, the Norwegian Online User Group, is a member organization for users
of online information.
The purpose of the organization is to promote the interests of users of
online systems by:
stimulating communication and exchange of knowledge/experiences between
members
organizing educational meetings and training events
representing member interests nationally and internationally through
participation in EUROLUG and by liaising with the information industry
regarding commercial databases, CD-rom products, software, and other information
products relevant to the needs and interests of our members.
NOLUG arranges about 4 meetings per year. Topics that have been covered
in past meetings include networks, presentation of database products, CD-rom,
hosting services, utilities for internet users, finding information on the
internet, etc.
NOLUG's webpages reside on the Library
Net Norway webserver, but responsibility for the pages lies with NOLUG's webmaster,
who collaborates with the NOLUG working committee.
